EXPLORE

  • Railroad Park is located in the center of Birmingham with accessible walking trails, playgrounds, and beautiful ponds. Food trucks and other vendors often set up on the weekends for visitors to catch a snack while casually strolling.

  • Birmingham Botanical Gardens is free to the public, with everything from Koi ponds in the Japanese gardens to rose garden walks, reflecting pools, and a tropical greenhouse.

  • Red Mountain State Park has a collection of hiking trails and zip lines just inside the Birmingham city limits. The park includes some of the best view of the city as well as some accessible trails for those who utilize mobility aids

  • Oak Mountain State Park is located just outside of Birmingham city limits with kayak and paddle board rentals, bike and hiking trails, and some beautiful places to just enjoy nature. The park does have an entrance fee.
